For instance, a simple chamfered box, twisted and manipulated and twice-duplicated, becomes the ship featured below.
I made an 800x600 avi rendered movie of a 5-ish second flyby, but I've no real way to upload it, and photobucked shrunk the below picture from its original 1280x1024 (I'm using it as a background). Anyone with 3d experience have any tips/suggestions/critiques? I don't really have any experience with modeling, aside from doing a few of the tutorials that come with 3ds max, so anything would be appreciated. |

Well, this should teach me not to practice with my swords without gloves.
Recently, while swinging around my katana, I accidentally dropped it. Unfortunately, my reflexes were fast enough to catch it, but not fast enough to catch it by the handle. Thus, I now have a deep scar on the palm-side of my right pinky finger, on the bottom-most joint. Pools of blood, calls to medical people to make sure no stitches were needed, etc. It's fine now, but for some reason (even though the physician assured me that nerve damage was unlikely) I can no longer bend that finger at the top knuckle. I still have feeling, and it still bends without pain when I bend it manually, but otherwise nothing. Fortunately, I don't really use this finger for anything that requires any large amount of precision. (Also I paw with my left hand, so no real harm done ;D)
It's not really an issue for me, but if anyone who happens to read this has any training/schooling in human anatomy, feel free to throw out guesses as to what's wrong with my finger. |

It occurs to me that someone might actually look here, so I should probably write something.
Things to do:
1) Finish modding the single-player levels of Halo PC so that throwing a frag grenade instead throws a wraith mortar.
2) Stay the fuck away from the marines. |
